I've been cutting my own hair since my University days.My daughter decided to use my hair scissors for cutting cardboard boxes. A BIG NO NO. My scissors are now no longer cutting like they did and sometimes just pull my hair instead. As they are old there is no way of re-tightning the scissors so I had to buy some new ones.I went for this set because it contained the cut throat razor which I have never used before. I went to a barber for a pre wedding shave recently and they used the cut throat and it was the best shave I've ever had so I thought I would give it a go.I am pleased with this set, it comes in its own case, it has a tightning screw on the scissors, although they are set perfectly from the manufacturer.I have just cut my hair and these scissors cut perfectly with no pulling, I don't use thinning scissors as my hair is sadly thin enough.The cut throat is really daunting. Firstly be careful the blades are razor blades and very sharp.To load take of the blade cover and push the blade in as in the pics. To unload you can use the white knob to push the blade back out. Make sure you put the blade cover back on. You might have to adjust the blade cover a bit when closing so it slots over the handle as in the pictures.As to shaving, I'm not going to be responsible for telling you how to do it. There are plenty of videos where you can see the correct method of shaving that I suggest you watch.PLEASE DONT USE THE CUT THROAT UNTIL YOU KNOW WHAT YOU ARE DOING.It does take time to find the right feel but when you do, this shaves very well.

After reading all the reviews I assumed these scissors were professional quality... they wouldn’t cut butter!I was really surprised as I value the reviews and believed what was written- unless I was u lucky and got a faulty set but these are awful!

My partner and I both do our own hair, and now we have a little one whose hair grows at a rate of knots (pun intended!) so we'll be cutting his too. Great to have a decent hairdressing kit like this to make the job so much easier and get the professional finish we can't afford from the hairdresser.

I bought this set of scissors to cut my kid's hair, it is very good quality by made by stainless steel. For my first time cutting hair, my hand feels com. The delivery also comes very quick.

This would be a fab set if the scissors were a bit sharper. Still pretty good though.

the scissors are useless for hair cutting but the case is very nice so that is the only part of this set that i use.

I’ve been hairdressing over 34 years use them today they’re not the greatest of great but the cutting power isn’t great but fantastic for a first timer
