Frame: good - Slats: not so much
I'd love to give this unit 5 stars - but alas, I can't. First of all - it could very well be that I'm the only person on earth who had this problem, but I figured I'd pass it along anyway. First - the good news. The frame is well built, the holes line up, the threads weren't stripped, all the hardware was included and the instructions are positively idiot proof - a real plus for me. Now, the not so good news. While the concept of the wood slats is clever - velcro and straps holding them evenly spaced and in place - the wood is simply too thin/fragile. They feel like I could break them over my knee like balsa. It's not a support issue (I'm 6'1", 215 - so that wasn't a problem) plus, there's a metal spine running the length of the frame, so the slats don't sag - but they do "give," and that created the problem. Squeaking. Squeaking like 40 year old box springs. If it was back in my college days with my girlfriend, I might have been amused. But it isn't. And I'm not. I tried desperately to zero in on the culprit - hitting every surface with WD-40, switching the slats around - to no avail. Out of desperation, I removed the slats, cut some full plywood panels to fit in the support rails - and voila ... problem solved. No - it isn't too firm now. And it doesn't squeak. So - take my review with however many grains of salt you see fit - but the frame gets 5 stars and the slats get zero stars and a one way ticket to the fireplace.

Beware of hardware stripping
I wish they used better hardware. These bolts strip EXTREMELY easily and that sucks big time. I managed to successfully use a rubber dish glove (better than a rubber band) to be able to work the bolts after they stripped but for one particularly pesky bolt, it's too stipped and loose even for that. (Yes, I had to undo some parts and then redo them due to the awful instructions and part labeling, hence the stripped bolts.) Also, the joints do squeak when loose and need to be retightened occasionally but that is now entirely impossible in places, so lots of squeaking. I do like the frame otherwise, it is aesthetically pleasing and the height allows my cats plenty of room to play and hide underneath. I guess I will break the bed down (literally, with a hammer) if I ever have to move, because cheap hardware has left me no way to unscrew it. Three and a half stars is not an option, but that is the more accurate rating.

A Bedframe That Will Last A Lifetime
This replaced a miserable wooden platform frame that creaked and snapped and warped. It had also been a nightmare to assemble. Not the case with this new one! First difference is that this one is heavy steel that is powder coated in black. I could barely drag the carton it came in to the bedroom where it would be used. Secondly, all parts arrived in good order with each piece clearly numbered. Instructions were very easy to follow, and I had this bad boy assembled in just over 30 minutes. It has a steel center support and legthat will not come loose (like the wooden one on my previous frame), and the wooden slats are evenly spaced with Velcro bands. The slats fit flush with the top of the frame. My old frame had 1/2” recess all around and the mattress did not fit properly on it.The slats include sticky pads which, if you choose to remove the tape to use them, will hold your mattress in place. I choose not to use them because I spin my mattress from head to foot once a month to ensure even wear. There is no need for a box frame below yourmattress which, indeed, will save you money. This sits 10” off the floor which means the bed sits lower than others in case you wanted a bed that needs a ladder to get into. Ha. This was an excellent investment!

I little wobbly
I purchased this for a spare bedroom that had a day bed in it that moved around a lot every time you were on it. I thought it would be very solid and had enough room under it for a trundle bed (which it did). The frame is made from solid materials and should be very sturdy. My son has the same bed without the headboard (platform only) and it is extremely solid. However, this is poorly designed and the headboard allows side to side motion. If they had built it the same is the platform and added the headboard it would be solid but instead I had to use JBweld on the cross memebers in the headboard to stiffen it up. We will see how long this lasts. I hoping for the best it is somewhat better than the old day bed and not very expensive.

Sturdy king bed frame
Arrived sooner than expected... Just right for the guest room, not too big, not too small. It's sturdy and looks great!

Nice!
Update: had it a year or so now. It is very sturdy but boy is it noisy now. (Probably because im not skinny lol) I’m sure we just need to tighten some things but still...and I really wsh it would’ve come with metal slats instead of wood.Had it put together in less than 30 min. Hubs agrees that this appears to be a very sturdy bed. Lots of space under the bed is a plus!

Excellent, surprisingly rock solid
- Goes together pretty easily... probably 20 or so allen/hex bolts. Comes with an L-shaped allen wrench, but I would use a ratchet with an allen "socket" and a small extension. It just works better, more leverage, less strain on your fingers, but easier to over-tighten if you're not careful. It also comes with a few extra bolts in case you lose some, which I thought was a nice touch.- Rock solid... just doesn't wiggle or squeak at all. I suppose it might over time, but it should be an easy fix (re-tighten bolts).- Nice minimalist look- We bought a queen for ourselves after buying the full-size for our daughter and being so impressed with it.- Would purchase again if I had the need.

Great bed frame
My husband and I were looking for a platform bed frame since we were getting a new Avocado Green mattress. We purchased this bed frame and headboard. This product was well-packaged, good quality, and easy to put together. We also appreciate the extra storage space under the frame. Our pug loves playing under the bed. This frame is very reasonable and the quality is great. Would definitely recommend this frame.
