I bought this because I came across an article describing the benefits of tart cherry including help with sleep, workout recovery, and prevention of gout. There are no peer reviewed articles with large enough sample sizes to be statistically relevant so this review is all completely objective from my experience.In my experience, the claims made for tart cherry extract are well founded.First, it does help with falling asleep. This is not surprising as it contains some naturally occurring melatonin. However, I do not get the lethargy the next morning that I sometimes get when taking straight melatonin. There is no info on how much is in each dose so the lower amount may account for this.Second, It does seem to help speed workout recovery. I do not have as much soreness the next day after a strenuous workout as I usually do. Again, this is all objective and could possibly be due to a placebo effect but it does seem to be real in my case.Third, it helps prevent gout. This is excellent news for me. If you have never had an attack of gout then thank your lucky stars. I have had the occasional attack since my late twenties (I am 41 now) and they are truly debilitating. I know it does help with gout because I was recently stuck in bed for a week with a nasty case of strep throat despite being a generally healthy man. Toward the end of that week I started to get a painful twinge in my left big toe. This is a sure sign for me of an attack of gout coming on. Despite being unable to properly hydrate due to my swollen throat I made sure to take a daily dose of this at 150% of normal and the gout precursor symptoms cleared right up. As you can see in the picture there is zero swelling and I can assure you zero pain.Happy toes makes a happy me!So with all these benefits at $7.50/mo to take a full dose every day this is a truly worthwhile supplement IMHO.I have not tried any other brands of tart cherry extract but this one has worked for me and is a great value so I think I'll stick with it.

Too soon to say. I've been using another brand for a few years that has worked fine. This popped up with anhigher extract ratio and comparable price. Supposedly, it can help with aches and pains. One difference I do not like is I don't see GMP, USP or lab tested on the label. I like those on products I buy because you're more likely to have what's on the label. Yes, that means higher prices for us or less profit for them but with so many impurities and less than what's on a label today, I believe that's really important. Especially when you don't k ow where ingredients were sourced.

My husband and are in our 50's, eat healthy, exercise regularly and I bought these to help with muscle soreness and to help me sleep better. I took tart cherry juice for a few nights in a row which helped but I didn't want to be consuming so much sugar so I looked into a capsule form. These work so well for me. I sleep more deeply, dreaming more and the muscle soreness it greatly reduced. I'd compare it to taking 2 regular ibuprofen before bed. I would always sleep better when I had done that. At one time I was told that if you find that you sleep better after taking ibuprofen before bed that it's probably due to the fact that it reduced inflammation and pain, which I usually have to some degree from workouts etc. I have been using these for over a month and will continue to do so. Nice to find a natural product that works for inflammation. Thank you!

My podiatrist highly recommended these. The store near me that used to carry it closed down so I checked Amazon and am happy I found them. Don't know how well they really work, I've only had gout one time but it was so painful I don't want to not take them and experience that again.
