Alright, so I just received these glasses today, and honestly I can say they do great on all metrics: looks, fit, and most importantly, photochromic effect. Some people say the glasses don't get dark enough; I can say emphatically that these glasses get dark enough to block out more than enough sunlight. Within 15 minutes the glasses were literally too opaque to see my eyes behind. A few things to know before you buy these:1. Photochromic effect is temperature sensitive and, unfortunately, the effect is lessened by high temperatures. This means that they work great during a cold spring or winter day, but will never be quite as dark in the summer. That may defeat the point for you if you have light-colored eyes and need the extra protection, but if your eyes are dark brown, they'll probably be enough for you anyway.2. The process starts almost immediately, but takes a minute or two for appreciable darkening of the lenses. Within a slightly longer stretch of time, the process will revert with the cessation of exposure to UV light. This time lag means you absolutely do NOT want to go into a dark tunnel with these if you are driving or biking. You absolutely will not have enough time to make out the roadway if you don't take them off beforehand. Because of this lag effect, I really don't recommend photochromic lenses for moments when you will switch between highly variable lighting conditions fast.I bought these to bike commute, as they're clear enough in the mornings to not impede vision, but will block plenty of sunlight during rides home in the summer.My only complaint is that the glasses are never totally clear; even in cloudy weather the lenses always have a slight tint. Something to be aware of.

Had them for a day, they are good quality for the price and fits nice. It doesn’t get as dark as I was expecting. The darkest it has gotten was as shown in the cloudy day. Wish it would get as dark as they should.

These glasses reduce glare. Great filtering quality lenses. Very light weight, very comfortable.

All except the photochromatic seems good. After a few wearings, they fit well, solid construction.They are barely photochromatic and hardly discernible between lightest and darkest.I really like that they are not extremely dark as it is hard to get medium-darkness grey sunglasses, so I will keep them.

These glasses sucked. They never transitioned at all even right out of the box. Total waste of money if your buying it for the transition part. They are just plain old sunglasses

I was looking for biking glasses with photochromic and polarization. This combo is far to find. I bought these based on the volume of sales and positive feedbacks. These glasses are the perfect combination of quality construction, materials and performance. First … all photochromic lenses DO NOT perform at all in automobiles. The tinting of the windshield and windows severely inhibits the darkening ability of the lenses. These are meant for outside direct sunlight. They go from light grey to medium grey … not dark grey. The polarization is great. It prevents glare and saturates color … reds are redder, greens are greener and so on. I slipped a pair on while watching TV one night ( Wheel of Fortune) and was amazed at the color rendition. So these are not sunglasses for the car or the beach. But if you need a little to moderate darkening and want polarization … look no further. Also the spring loaded frames set the mark for quality and looks. The only negative is the lack of of a clamshell hard case is not included. The included plastic pouch is useless but you can pick up a $6 clamshell case on Amazon or Ebay. You can spend $5-$7 less for similar but expect less in quality and construction.

Very effective and much less expensive than what the ophthalmologist said to buy, from his office, of course!

This is actually a nice pair BUT definitely not photochromic. Lens is some sort of a light smoke gray and it does not change at all. Nice material but a bit heavy as a riding sunglasses in my opinion.

It fit my face perfectly and looks good too.

A good product for the money. As in other reviews, not as dark as I like, but that's personal preference and even when they are in their 'light' state I notice a difference when I put them on in the car. If you have a job where you're in and out of a building these would be ideal, as they lighten up enough to be easily usable indoors as well. These are very comfortable, and in terms of visual field they cover well from side to side and up top but there's a bit of a gap below. Not enough to be too bothersome, though, and it's something that I tend to be picky about - I like full FOV coverage.
