a good quality girls bike for the price.
My 9 year-old daughter loves this bike, the size is perfect for her. We did not put the pegs on the front because they stick out too far and I didn't want the kids side-swiping vehicles in the driveway. This bike seems like a very high quality bike. The frame is heavy duty and much thicker than I expected. I was not a fan of the blingy/flowery "angel" decals and paint theme of the bike, but my daughter really liked it. Of all the bikes I have bought for kids (5 so far), this was by far the easiest to put together: Basically bolt on the front tire, put the pedals on, adjust brakes. The rear brakes needed no adjustment at all.I have purchased several bikes for kids from Amazon with varying degrees of success. I have had some arrive in not the best condition. I was initially concerned when the box was left on my doorstep with obvious signs of damage. However, it was well packed and nothing was damaged or missing in the package.

NOT AS DESCRIBED. HAS A COASTER BRAKE.
This bike has a coaster brake, despite also having front and back handle brakes. It does not state that in the description. I specifically wanted a bike without a coaster brake because new riders find it difficult to start since they can't rotate the pedals backwards to get to the correct starting position. It's also seems especially inappropriate for a BMX bike to have a coaster brake since it would prevent several 'tricks'.Another major concern is the general build quality and materials. The wheels do not turn very freely - loosening the front wheel bolts slightly helped with this, but I can't get the back wheel to coast freely. Perhaps this is due to poor quality bearings or perhaps it can be fixed with lubrication? Also, the brake-cable bolt sheered with very little pressure when I was assembling it - I presume it's not make of high quality metal.Besides that, the bike is beautiful and I hope to be able to fix it up to be a great ride. I've realized there are so many things to get right on a bike that are apparent when assembling it yourself. A local bike shop didn't want to tune the bike up, claiming it was poor quality. Perhaps they're right and you get what you pay for. Their equivalent children's bikes are over $300.I'll come back to update this review as we get more experience with the bike.

This bike MAY NOT be a crap shoot.
Get the wrong one and the front wheel and front break are broken. I read the reviews and there are always a few complaints - most about the wheel and break - but the wheel & break happened to me. The welding on the forks were different so it was no surprise the wheel did not align. The box it came in was junk - any place you grabbed to pick it up - would flake off. I am sure the shippers cussed it. My granddaughter loved the pink color. Bought another bike off the display at wall Mart and it is the same bike, $40 cheaper but the wrong color!UPDATE 180501: had a bike professional work with this bike. He was troubled by the fact a lift truck likely damaged the forks, but was able to adjust everything to his satisfaction. The bike is now safe, and working as designed. This pink bike went to my granddaughters house, and the replacement stays at my house.

Received a used, beat up and scratched bike :(
So here's what we received:A completely USED bike with paint scratched off, assembly tools missing and the box beat to crap. Not impressive. Now, no only do i have to find a DIFFERENT gift for my daughters birthday but i have the hassle of sending it back.

Looks great but hard to assemble
This bike takes time to assemble. Some tips I learned:1. Make sure to take off reflector when putting in front handle or it will go down all the way, to control direction of wheel.2. One of the breaks had to be install to the handle. This was a pain. You have to stretch out the wire at bottom to get more length on top to place into the handle. It’s a two person job (one person to keep bottom stretched with pliers while another puts the cube into hole at top).3. You also have to adjust the brake by using similar stretch method from #2 at bottom of the bike, and then screwing it in, once brake is near enough the wheel. But once assembled, it’s a beautiful bike (especially for the low price).

DO NOT BUY THIS BIKE.
I'm only giving this 1 star because negative 75 stars is not an option. Beautiful bike. Impossible to assemble. The front forks for the bike are about 1.5 inches too close and require GREAT force to separate. DO NOT BUY THIS BIKE - DO NOT BUY THIS BIKE.

Came scratched :(
This is a very pretty bike! I was very sad that it came scratched. The angel sticker on one side was scratched.....the scratch was into the metal under the sticker as well. This was a Christmas present and we didn't notice it until we were putting it together on Christmas Eve night. Thankfully my daughter hasn't noticed the scratch but for the price I paid, it shouldn't have anything wrong with it.The front break was very difficult to get adjusted and the break cable wouldn't stay attached for the longest time. It took over an hour and a half to get the bike put together. It is a pretty bike and my daughter loves it but I'm not completely happy with it.

Bad Fork Design/Fit - Easy Fix w/ Scissor Jack
I should have read the reviews before purchasing. I ran into the same issue of the front fork spacing being inadequate to fit the front wheel. The fork wasn't damaged, but it was due to poor craftsmanship and/or design. The brackets that hold the wheel were welded off-center and too far inside thus causing lack of space. I used a car scissor jack, as recommended by other reviewers, and it worked perfectly. It easily moved the fork apart and I was able to install the front wheel. The bearings on both wheels and other moving parts need to be better lubricated as I can feel the rubbing of metal parts as they move. Besides that and the difficulty with the front wheel, the rest of the bike seem ok. My daughter haven't had a chance to ride it yet.

Beware shoe brake system
It's a great looking bike overall however using cheap parts specifically the braking system makes it a potential hazard. I couldn't get these shoe brakes to function with proper braking resistance no matter how many adjustments made. I would not recommend this bike and would recommend going to a bike shop instead and inspect and test the bike thoroughly prior to purchase.

Front wheel fork problem.
Package received a little bit torn though content complete. The fork width at front tire has been compressed a bit when received. It took a lots of effort to widen back to fit into the wheel nut. Bike rides well.
