Does the Job
This item is much faster than the old one it replaces. The included mini keyboard is great and lights up when you use it. The touch pad is better than the old one. It does need charging more frequently (presumably because of the lit keyboard). It works with BBC iplayer which is what we bought it for.It doesn't seem to run most games - i crashes but that was not what we got it for.It runs all video formats we can throw at it with the exception of H265 which is a bit jittery. But this may be a feature of that particular video file which is also jittery on my phone.Overall very pleased

Not apparently 4K and useless remote
I give the H96 Pro a single star because it arrived beautifully packaged but that's where it ends: -1. The supplied remote controller is really unusable (even when you find batteries for it - which are NOT supplied) and anyone buying this box needs to understand that they will need to buy a proper controller in addition.2. This box does not use the Google Android TV OS but std Android V6.0.1 so the installed launcher is not Google's very capable "Lean Back" but something called "Media Box" which, whilst not beautiful, does work EXCEPT is does not appear to be customisable. There are plenty of other launchers available at the Play Store.3. This box is sold as a 4K box but does not have a 4K screen option in setup and it is not recognised as 4K capable by either Amazon Prime Video or Netflix. Picture quality on both of those is very poor when output to a 4K LG OLED TV when compared with the native smart apps on the same TV - obviously with the same broadband connection.4. Email response from the supplier whilst prompt has not been of any help.My recommendation? If you just want to watch TV, buy an Amazon Fire 4K box which is the same price. It works straight out of the box; the screen is a pleasure to look at and to use plus you won't need to buy an additional remote . You don't have direct access to Google Play Store but it is Android so Kodi etc, can be installed for those who want it.If you want to have a box to run other non-TV Android apps then the H96 (plus another remote) might be a solution but, then, you probably already have an Android mobile phone and / or tablet and they are far easier to use than an Android box.

Love the way this works
The media could not be loaded. Love the way this works. It took a bit to get it to read ISO files. We use a lot of Youtube videos to get it working properly. Just wish we would have bought the keyboard with it. It would make navigating much easier. It is a really powerful box with top spec of CPU, GPU, memory. I watch lots of movies and TV shows. I do not have a 4K TV, so I can not evaluate the effect of its 4K performance. But with the 1080p TV, I would say its definition is already beyond my expectation. I hate the delay and slow response with my old gadget. That is why I purchase high spec device like this one. As expected, everything runs fast and smoothly. With this new Android 7.1 interface, I am still getting used to it, sometimes you have to modify the access to install some apps. Amazing product.

Hardware good, firmware not so much.
The hardware is decent enough. The current firmware leaves much to be desired, and could do with a comprehensive update. Additionally, the Android OS is outdated, and not particularly well set up (some of the menus & apps still in Chinse, for example). However, for my particular use case (rooted and repurposed as a cheap Armbian Linux home server), it is working fine, and the OS and firmware limitations are not an issue. Your use case may differ, and there are better TV boxes out there. For hardware only thought, the price is very good.

Fantastic - Should Have Five Stars
Received my H96 Pro+ today via ESTGOUK and I have to say, it's exceeded my expectations.I wanted to upgrade from a Fire Stick but didn't want the clunky Amazon OS, nor did I want to pay £180 for an Nvidia Shield. I've found this to be the perfect compromise. The box comes loaded with everything the casual user would need. I found it very easy to delete the things I didn't want and adjust it to my needs. The Android OS looks sleek and functions well.Within 10 minutes I had everything in place (including a pair of Powerline adapters) and was able to stream in 4K quality with no problems. If you're looking for a powerful box but don't want to pay premium prices, then I can't recommend this one enough.Pros:- 3GB RAM/Octa core processor (very fast and able to run a lot of apps at once)- Android OS- Lots of expandability options with two USB ports and Micro SD slotCons:- Remote is a bit cheap and doesn't interact with the OS as well as I'd like it to

Disappointing.
I bought it for IPTV and it's running poor. It takes nearly a minute to start up even after a factory reset. Even the keyboard and copy and paste functions don't work. Disappointing! I bought my friend a different one for less than €50 on Gearbest (MXR Pro) and it's up and running in about 20sec and no issues so far. I recommend alternatives especially at the price.

Good specs. Unstable firmware.
The H96 pro+ arrived beautifully packaged. Thats as good as it gets. The build quality is cheap and plastic and begs the question, is it fireproof? The heat generated from this little box of silicon chips caused concern. The launcher (Mediabox) constantly froze or crashed. This was remedied by a Factory reset. A bit drastic especially if you've personalised the box with all your favourites addons.Email support was poor to non existent. Advice was rudimentaryWithin 12 hours, I factory reset three times. To make matters worse the Backup i saved on the SD card was corrupted due to a faulty card reader. Sod it. I returned the H96 back to Amazon and had a refund.Finally. Be advised. When i ran a malware/virus scan using Lookout security software, it warned of a trojan in the "wireless updater" app pre-installed on this box.
