Huch & Friends Tzaar - EN/DE/FR/NL/IT/ES

This is most definitely in my top 5 board games of all time. I've had no problems teaching people of varying experience how to play, and every single time I show it to someone new, they want to play again and again.It takes a couple games to understand how the 'two actions per turn' rule affects the board, but once you figure it out, the game's level of strategy really shines. I feel like this game barely edges out YINSH since most of its decision-making seems more purposeful compared to YINSH's chaotic nature of moving rings without fully understanding the impact it will have. That being said, both games are definitely worth owning, with DVONN also worth your consideration.

Excellent abstract strategy game, and beautiful to look at. One of those that's 5 minutes to learn and a lifetime to master. But you'll have fun playing over and over again.

Wasn't expecting to love this game as much as I do. It is very clever with the trade off in terms of the values of the pieces and it is all very well balanced. Sure the board could look a bit more fancy but it is still definitely fun to play.

Easy to teach and fast to play- this game is a great strategy game and one of the best in the series. I would recommend this if you like thinking but fast playing strategy games

Excellent strategy game for 2Good quality -

Out of the 100+ games I own, this is easily in the top 5. 2 minutes to learn, lightning fast turns, seemingly limitless depth, perfect balance. A complete and utter joy for anyone with even the slightest interest in abstract board games. Throw your Othello in the bin and bask in the glory of Tzaar!
