AA and AAA battery charger
The media could not be loaded. An 8 slot AA and AAA battery charger with type C input charging port + included Type C cable.I tested this battery charger with standard NI-MH and the NI-MH batteries that have a long shelf life both of which are 1.2v, they charged to full capacity without issue, I also charged a 1.5v li-ion rechargeable AA battery and that charged without issue too, you can charge an individual battery or mixed battery types at the same time and each slot had it's own LED display and is colour coded depending on battery type.I did include a short clip to show the LED's blinking during charging but in the clip they are strobing but this is not the case with your own eyes. The charger is hard plastic and seems durable enough IMO, the charging terminals i have to say aren't my favorite kind i have used in the past as they are the fixed type and not the sliding type, the batteries are quite difficult to remove and i had to pry them out with a flat edged screwdriver, maybe it's a skill i will learn in time.In conclusion this battery charger does well enough at what it was intended to do but i'm knocking a star off because of the difficulties removing batteries.

Avoid at all costs
Absolutely rubbish, doesn't even charge a single battery even after leaving it over night, feels cheap and doesn't do the one job it was made to do, save your money and do not buy this item

Works well and is kind to your cells!
We use rechargeable batteries for lots of things around the house. I have several quite sophisticated chargers that are great but need setting up for every use. I have some simpler ones that just charge but they do apply enough current to get the batteries hot before they cut off. I picked this charger as it will do single cells, charges at a modest current, will take up to 8 cells and needs no button pushing! The charger arrived in a nice printed box with a small instruction leaflet. My heart sank on the first view of the Chinese BUT on turning over it was all English and very good English at that! The charger auto detects a range of battery chemistry but my use will only be NiMh cells, both AA and AAA sized. On inserting a cell the LED above flashes various colours until it settles on the type. In my case its NiMh which is purple. When the cell is fully charged the LED changes to a steady state. By connecting a dummy cell in series with a real one I could measure the charge current. I found this to be roughly 400mA per cell against the 350mA quoted in the instructions. It wasn't a steady charge current and appeared to be pulsed. I discharged a set of AA cells, charged them in this charger and then measured them discharging. I repeated the process on my sophisticated charger/analyser. I got very close to the same results for the 4 cells I checked.I'm very happy with this charger. I don't mind that I have to supply the power from a USB adapter. I regard that as an advantage.

Bit confusing at first
The media could not be loaded. 8 bay universal, intelligent battery charger for (1.2V & 1.5V) AA & AAA rechargeable batteries.Comes with USB-A to C charge cable (Charger not included)I use a decent fast intelligent charger of mine that has all the right protections to make sure this unit only draws what it requires and protects at the same time.I like that it does a variety of cells and chemistries. It can charge a variety of cells such as Lithium (Auto recognition)(1.2V) Ni-MH/Ni-CD AA/AAA(1.5V) Li-ion AA/AAAAnd I believe (3.7V 14500) batteries similiar size to AA (Not tested)Just remember:Rechargeable.AA & AAA(1.2V & 1.5V) and the above (3.7V 14500)And you should be alright.

Don't recommend this product. Danger of exploding🥶🥶
The media could not be loaded. Overheating the charger and batteries.Slow to charge.8 hours to charge 8 batteries and still not charged even half of capacity.

Not sure I trust it
This is a nicely compact charger; unlike some I have tested it happily charged a mix of different brands, sizes and metal types simultaneously. It has a USBC port, which also makes me happy; the last charger I had came with a MIcro USB, meaning yet another cable type to store, find, and lose. So, all good so far... except that the other chargers I've tried will also detect and warn you about unchargeable or damaged batteries when you insert them. In the instruction manual with this one it gives you LED colour/flashing codes for slot empty/ready, charging, and fully charged, with steady purple for NiMH fully charged and green for Li-ion fully charged, for example; but nothing for "faulty battery".I inserted two NiMH batteries I knew to be faulty (as in, had been rejected by two other chargers) and after a few minutes the LEDs started flashing green, however. Is this a code they've forgotten to tell us about? I've no idea; nor do I know whether it means the unit will turn off the supply to those two... actually, it would appear not, as they are getting quite warm, which isn't necessarily a problem but...Actually, as I type this one of the LEDs for one of the faulty batteries has turned steady green, indicating "Li-ion battery fully charged". Except it's a NiMH. Then again, it's registering 1.18V on my multimeter, which puts it into a well charged state for a NiMH AA.So in the end I don't know what to make of this unit. Batteries which pose it no problems it deals with efficiently and well; but here we are with unknown LED statuses and incorrect battery type identification. For those unknowns I have to award it only two stars, which even as I type it seems a shame.
