TreadLife FitnessElliptical Resistance Motor - Compatible with NordicTrack Ellipticals - Part #241949

I was looking for this specific piece and it was very expensive everywhere. I looked it up here and the price was reasonable and it was was I was looking for.

I was a little skeptical because of some of the negative reviews, but I took the plunge and ordered this resistance motor. It fit my HealthRider H95e Rear Drive Elliptical perfectly. As others have noted, this motor does not come with the little disc that holds the resistance arm onto the motor, so don't throw your old one away!After installing, I did have to turn the magnetic resistance arm one rotation so that the magnet wasn't touching the wheel at the highest resistance (level 16). I don't know... I might have rotated it myself when I disassembled the old motor.Anyway, it's working perfectly for me.

I could not find my bike model (NTEX02117NB.0) listed on any of the 241949 Resistance Motors and by chance, this one fits & functions perfectly. I didn't even need to recalibrate it! If this helps, the label on top of my OLD motor states: 6 volt tension motor 241949-MM52N103987. I believe I saved a lot of money & wait time by not contacting the service desk at iFit/NordicTrack.

For some reason, the gears in the transmission were broken and instead of resistance stages the magnet just bumps on the brake weel.The new motor solves the problem and now my ellipsoid works again.

I read one review saying this was a scam. I didn’t believe it because the other 2 reviews were positive…I should’ve believed it. Just wasted my entire morning installing this. Then I hop on to check it out. I’m on level 6, no tension, level 8, 10…no tension. Level 12? Feels like I’m spinning on air, the tension isn’t working at all. So then I drop down to level 1 (which is supposed to be the lightest) and the tension goes up! Turns out this “new motor” is some cheap manufactured one that some idiot wired up backwards. Ok so you would think all you gotta do is instead of 1 being lowest and 12 being highest you reverse, right? Wrong. Before my old motor broke I had 12 levels of adjustment. 1 being lowest 12 being highest.Now I have 2 levels. 2-12 is essentially no resistance. And then level 1 is, moderate (like my old level 6.It’s like having a 12 speed bike but only 2 gears work and they’re at opposite ends of the spectrum. Total waste of time and money. I’d ask for a replacement but I don’t have the time or energy to take this thing apart to replace this again. At this point I just want a whole new elliptical

Broke within a month. Now the elliptical has lost most of its resistance again.

Motor was exactly what I needed. Works great!
