My daughter is all about fire trucks right now so I wanted to find a toy for her that allowed for open-ended play but that also wasn't going to take over my living room or result is me finding bits and pieces of it all over the house. Cue the Pikodo Fire Station playset. With a decent sized fire station and all the pieces (fire fighters, truck, helicopter, ladder, hose, dog, etc.), there is enough here to keep my 2.5yr old occupied for hours. And when she is all done, all the pieces can be tossed back into the box, it folded back up, and tucked away until she's ready to play with again.The fire station is a heavy duty cardboard and seems quite sturdy, but could be damaged if it got wet or your child was particularly aggressive with it. The figures are nicely painted wood with no sharp edges. The wood is a softer variety and might develop a few dents and dings over time but this is a kids toy so that's not a big concern for me. The only thing I was somewhat disappointed to see is that the handle is attached to the fold-out play mat and not to the lid, as shown in the description. This means that the handle either interferes with play or that the play area won't lay flat on the floor or on a table unless you slip the handle out of its slots - I don't have a problem doing that but it probably isn't good for the long-term life of the cardboard in that area.If I had to do it again, I would definitely repurchase!

This is the best made toy I have purchased in a long time. My 2 year old grandson loves it, and so does his 4 year old sister. Great for taking in the car or on a trip!

I have a wooden firehouse and was looking for pieces for the kids to use inside of it, this will do. It was under $25 and the pieces are wooden. The fire station play box is just to cute to throw away though. All of the pieces fit in a sandwich ziploc bag, just so you have an idea of what to expect. I thought it would be more pieces but would have ordered it anyway, wood toys are expensive overall so I can’t complain. Good product, I would have been happier paying about $16.99 instead of $21.88

It’s a nice toy for make-believe, but honestly, I bought it for travel so I needed it to be a little bit smaller. It does not fit in any of our backpacks, nor even in our child-size suitcase. We ended up not taking it on our trip for that reason. It also comes with a ton of pieces - again, great for imagination, but not practical for travel or for people who don’t like stepping on little pieces. We may end up giving it away.

Just unboxed and this is cute. My 2 yr old is obsessed with fkre trucks and fire "garages". Looked at other wooden fire house playsets and they were $50-100. This is perfect for $20 and is portable which is amazing. The box is nice ans thick but it is cardboard so we will see how durable it is. The pieces are solid wood though.All in all- great purchase and my little guy lit up when i took it out.

Only half the objects are magnetic

This Christmas my 3 year old grand daughter and my 3 year old grandson where intro fire trucks. I found this fire house last minute and hoped it would be a good present. Both kids opened the fire house immediately. At first they spent the majority of the time opening and closing the house due to the magnetic closure. Then they carried it around because they loved the handle. Both sets of parents made a comment about how compact the toy was and how sturdy all the components were.They also appreciated the firehouse is its own storage container. I think this toy will become a favorite,

Soooo cute!!! My kid is obsessed with this. The wooden figures are made very well. The ladder is his favorite thing. Absolutely perfect!!
